99 Balloons
I have seen this video before, but it was shown on Oprah again on October 28th. Eliot Mooney was born with Trisomy 18 - also known as Edwards Syndrome. He lived for 99 days.
Trisomy 18: At conception, 23 chromosomes from the father and 23 chromosomes from the mother combine to create a baby with a set of 46 chromosomes in each cell. A trisomy occurs when a baby has three #18 chromosomes instead of the normal two.
This is one of the most powerful videos I have ever seen.

I wanted to share this video and also pass along Eliot's legacy.

Fall Festival 2008
This year we went to Fall Festival with Gammie (Tom's Mom), Aunt Julie, and Cousin Carlie. Tom was unable to go, but we took a ton of pictures for him! We had such a great time. There was so much to do!!
Cade dressed up as a Monkey for this event and was the cutest monkey ever! I have to admit, that of all the fun things to do, Cade enjoyed the petting zoo the most. They had goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, etc. Cade (for some odd reason) liked the pig the most. By the end of the night, this pig had almost demolished the grass from digging. It was crazy how much damage such a small creature could create!!
Here are a few pictures from the festival.

BOO at the ZOO
This year we decided to take Cade to "BOO at the ZOO". We dressed him up in his Dragon costume and headed out for an evening of family fun. The Fort Worth Zoo has been hosting this event for 17 years now and is the city's longest-running family friendly fall event held for six wild nights. At 5:30 p.m., the Zoo grounds turn into a haven of happy trails, pumpkin patches and treats at every turn.
Some of the activities included:
*Carnival games
*Professional pumpkin carvings
*Hay maze and hay house
*Treat stations throughout the Zoo
*Play areas for the little ghouls
*More animals than ever before (only until dusk. Some of them might be afraid of the dark!)

Cade in his Dragon costume!
Taking it all in...
Cade was so excited we had to hold his hand to slow him down!
We love Dragons!
1st Treat Station of the night!!
Cade was hoping for some good stuff!! :)
Daddy and Cade checking out the yummy treats!
Cade's favorite exhibit...THE PENGUINS!!!
We told Cade this was one of "Mana's Cousins".
(Mana is a penguin in Hawaii that Cade was fascinated by)
This one still haunts me. This is an "Alligator Snapping Turtle".
He is scary!!!
The Zoo had some great pumpkin carving exhibits.
Check out the detail! Cade loved how soft it was!
Finally, our little Dragon fell asleep.
All of the excitement just exhausted him.
See ya next year!!

BFF
She may be a Spaz.
She may be a Puppy.
She may chew on EVERYTHING!
She may get in the way and get yelled at.
She may dig up the back yard.
She may have eaten 20 pacifiers.
She may have eaten a remote control.
But, she loves Cade with all of her heart.
Annie + Cade = BFF 4 Ever!
And, for that, we LOVE Annie :)
