Addicted to Twilight

I admit it. I was a late "Twilight Bloomer". My husband bought me the 4 books for Christmas - well after all the twilight hoopla started. The movie was already out as well - although I still have not seen it! It took me 15 days to read all 4 books and the rough draft of "Midnight Sun" on the author's website. My husband thought I was insane - probably still does. However he is still supporting my addiction by buying me all of the authorized and unauthorized "guides" and "companion books". I even downloaded the CD on iTunes!!! I also pre-ordered my DVD yesterday which comes out on March 21st! I have some dear friends who have been addicted longer than I have. They too have a husband and kids. So, I found this shirt...
I am so glad to know that I am not the only 33 year old out there who is addicted to these "young adult novels".

Cautious Cade

On Sunday, we celebrated Cade's friend Alicia's 2nd Birthday before the Superbowl.

We always love going over to Vince and Erin's house. They have a large playset in their backyard that seems to always wear the kids out = which means good SLEEP for us all! Cade LOVES the swing!! You can see the pics of Cade enjoying the swing here. However, the slide is a different story. He carefully watched all the kids go down the slide and then climb up the rock wall to go down the slide again. He finally got the nerve to try it. With a little assistance from Dad, Cade climbed the rock wall to get in line for the slide.
What happened next was hilarious. Cade wanted to go down the slide, but he also wanted to hold on with both hands for DEAR LIFE. He didn't even "slide"...he more or less inched down. He wanted to do it his way so we let him.
After a couple of times with this "hold on and inch down" method, he finally got brave enough to just let go! He smiled from ear to ear.
The pictures below are of Cade and his buddy Caleb. They were both born on May 9, 2007 and were both weeks early. Caleb was 5 weeks early and Cade was only 3. Caleb lives just a few houses down and his Mom, Kathy, is also a stay at home Mom. Caleb will be getting a baby brother in April!! Or sooner, if this baby comes early like Caleb did.
Cade loves his Daddy.
